Parking space-free and car-free living

In the urban district Vauban in Freiburg, a traffic concept was implemented which specifically promotes living without a car of one’s own. The parking spaces were located at the border of the settlement in favour of the higher quality of life in the neighbourhood. The inhabitants were given the choice between living without a parking space or a car in the neighbourhood.
