With citizen commitment from wasteland to park

Within the framework of the urban renewal, the historic Altstadt area in Vetschau/Spreewald has been strengthened, neighbourhoods of the industrial housing construction have been restructured and the urban infrastructure modified to the altered requirements. A good example of this fundamental alignment is the "Schiebefläche" model project. The inner city wasteland has been converted into a multifunctional open space.
