Urban fringe development makes way for the forest

Weißwasser has been affected by a drastic structural shift since 1990. To stabilize the housing market, the council initiated the extensive demolition of prefab buildings with the demolition concept for “Weißwasser-Süd”. The cleared sites will subsequently be reforested in a targeted manner.
