Neighbourhood park – from interim use to permanent facility

As part of a modernisation programme in Berlin-Pankow, in the district of Prenzlauer Berg, a piece of wasteland designated for building development was used as a temporary city district park for 10 years. Now, it has been possible to secure this usage for the long-term. The local residents were and are able to become closely involved in the design planning and execution.
